Other Partnerships

The Primary Care Partnership (PCP) is a State-funded initiative aimed at improving primary health care service system coordination and planning, with the ultimate goal of improved access and outcomes for consumers.

Dandenong Division is a signatory to the South East PCP and is represented on the Management Committee by Anne Peek. At this stage most Divisional involvement has been at the management level, but as the PCP evolves it is expected there will be greater consultation with, and participation by, individual GPs in various activities. Overlaps between the objectives of the PCP and the EPC MBS items provide a clear opportunity for GP involvement, particularly with regard to patient health assessment, care planning and referral processes.
